I would suggest, however, that greater security would be given to the Electric Light Emplacements if their floors were raised above the level of the Praya so that the waves would strike them with less force and would have an outlet under them over the Praya.
4. I observe from your letter that the lighting scheme will possibly be modified. In these circumstances, I shall be prepared to consider any new sites involved by the modification which you may suggest as enabling the lighting of the Western entrance to the harbour to be efficiently carried out without obstructing the city roadways.
5. In the meantime, you are at liberty to run the lights from temporary platforms if at any time urgent necessity for their immediate use arises and on the 3rd to 9th of December next in connection with the half-yearly continuous 8 nights running which is laid down by regulations.
